Specifically the house edge on the European wheel is -2.7%, and 5.26% on the American wheel. This means you have a better change of profiting on a single zero European wheel. The payouts are all the same, but because of the extra pocket, the American wheel has a higher house edge. It’s just there is an extra pocket on the American wheel (the double zero), and the sequence of numbers is different. If you look at the diagrams, that’s really the only difference.
